USA Team Heroes

The United States have announced a star-studded 18-player roster for their training camp ahead of their trip to the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belgium.

The camp, held in Brooklyn and headed by Head Coach Cheryl Reeve, will determine the final 12 players selected to make the trip to Antwerp.

The United States have already punched their tickets to Paris 2024 as winners of the 2023 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.

With a record of 8 gold medals, Team USA boasts endless WNBA talent and will be the team to beat in Paris, and in Antwerp as they get into gear for the ultimate stage of international basketball. Even with 6 players to be cut, this iteration of the United States women’s team should be ready to take on anyone, with a particular eye to the Belgium game, in which the Belgian Cats will be looking to impress on the international stage in front of their home fans.

The Star

In a team that oozes talent and includes legends such as Diana Taurasi, singling out an individual star is a tough ask, but Breanna Stewart, the current WNBA MVP, is probably the best baller on the planet now. With 2 WNBA championships and 2 EuroLeague titles in her cabinet, she’s one of the most successful players in the world of basketball.

The New York Liberty and Fenerbahce center will be looking to get back to the international stage and will be looking to dominate once again as Team USA get into gear for the Olympics.
