Jerome Allen relied on top G-League talent for this AmeriCup Qualifiers, calling Elfrid Payton, Stanley Johnson, former NBA Champ Jordan Bell, and 2014 NBA Rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams.
The quartet will lead the United States in their double-header against Cuba en route to the FIBA AmeriCup 2025, a competition the Americans will want to get back on top of, after coming third in the 2022 edition.
Cuba, on the other hand, start as underdogs, with a talented team that hasn't quite delivered at an international level. To give the United States any trouble, they'll need their talent to click, and to be able to contain the United States' offensive talent and physical presence.
