Brazil to face Australia in Belém debut

It meant the world for Kamilla Soares to lift the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2023 after defeating United States in the final. A team filled with talent, Brazil can field players of the caliber of Damiris Dantas and Tainà Paixao, together with their rising star center.

The extent of their progress will be shown as the Carioca start off against formidable Australia, bronze at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 and boasting 9 previous qualifications to the Olympic Games. They will look to make it 10, with coach Sandy Brondello able to count on a team capable of reaching the highest level.

Ezi Magbegor, Cayla George and legendary center Lauren Jackson all made the roster and look to impress in Belém straight from the get go.
